Jeanne Blasberg is a novelist, essayist, reviewer, and educator. Upon graduation from Smith College, she surprised everyone who knew her by embarking on a career in finance. After making stops as an investment banking analyst on Wall Street, in strategic planning at Macy’s, and writing retailing cases at Harvard Business School, Jeanne returned to a more creative lifestyle, studying memoir, traveling, and writing about it.
Her upbringing as an only child and relationships with imaginary friends prepared her well for a career writing fiction. Jeanne’s novels explore the complex relationships between mothers and their children and the drama that arises when societal pressure conflicts with maternal instinct.
